Robert Franklin was the son of Annie Elizabeth Franklin (Father Unknown)

Winifred Wilson was the daughter of Charles Foster Wilson and Eva (nee Foster)

Robert was "adopted" by his Uncle Eddie and Nellie (nee Holland) Franklin in 1929 who brought him up to him marrying Winifred Wilson in 1939

Robert then joined the Army and was stationed at Ashby cum Fenby, Lincolnshire at the time of his marriage.

They started married life living in Butchery, Barton on Humber and then moved to 41 Ramsden Avenue, Barton on Humber, Lincolnshire

They had a family of 9 children :-

Christine, Robert (Junior), Hilary, Gerald, Bernard, Alan, Philip, Ronald and Timothy.

All except Timothy and Ronald married and had families of their own.

Ronald died at 6 years old

Robert (Senior) died at home, 41 Ramsden Avenue,Barton on Humber, Lincolnshire in 1978.

Winifred died at Fleetgate Nursing Home, Barton on Humber, Lincolnshire in 1996
